Monday Night Football

What a game tonight...kind of. To an outsider (not a 49er fan) that was a terribly ugly game played by the Cardinals from Arizona, but to me, what a performance! What I saw was a defense who really stepped up their game tonight. They did what they were taught since pop-warner, put your helmet on the ball when you tackle someone.

Dashon Goldson was especially amazing at popping that ball loose. Check out these stats: six tackles, two forced fumbles and an interception. What a game! Very impressed by what I saw tonight. Although there were 7 total turnovers by the Cardinals, the team from San Francisco only managed 24 points. That was a little disappointing to see, it was promising to see good ole Frank Gore get back out there and bust it open. Gore racked up 167 yards rushing on 25 carries and ran for a score. While Alex Smith has been better this season I think he did a decent enough job handling the ball and not losing the game. Although the 49ers are almost out of it, they still have an ever so slight chance to make the playoffs. Can you tell I'm a 9er fan yet? As a fan, all I can do is sit back and hope they play well. Also hope the Cardinals fall as hard as they did tonight over the next three weeks, then all is possible. Good luck to all and their sports teams! Except for when they come against mine...then they must lose.
