I totally agree with you that it was a HUGE step for US hockey. It proves that Brian Burke knows how to build a team, and they played hard and fought right till the end. I about fell off of my chair in Sunday school when the USA scored that goal with 24 seconds remaining. Great job by the United States.
HOWEVER....
I was once told a saying by grandfather that has always proven true:
"Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades"
