You may have a point about us Americans getting a little ahead of ourselves in bragging about the round robin win, but we had every right to be cocky! Hockey is not our national sport, maybe in the top five, but that's debatable. The biggest point, though, is that Canada was supposed to win that gold! The US wasn't even supposed to be close! Scoring that goal at the end of regulation to tie the game was an amazing step for hockey in the United States. My point here is that if the US had pulled off the upset, we have that to put in your face for the next four years, while you (Canadians) have nothing to brag about! Let's be honest, we as Americans don't care enough about hockey to care about your bragging. Great game, but I still count it as a win for the USA.
